How to survive the Milanese heat in a few simple steps

Summer has just begun, but it seems to have already arrived from the high temperatures felt in the city of Milan. How to survive in the city when all you want to do is escape to the cool of the mountains or take a dip in the sea? Here are some tips on what to do in summer in Milan.

VISIT MUSEUMS

We have already talked about the museums to visit in the city, so if you missed the article run to catch up. Hot weather is a great excuse to visit a museum, this way you can occupy your time and at the same time stay cool thanks to the air conditioning

EAT AN ICE-CREAM

Of course, ice cream is one of the most summer foods out there. In this article we have recommended some of the best ice cream shops. But if you have already tried these we recommend Nosh, in Cadorna, where you can taste a very special lavender-flavored flavor.

GOING TO THE "IDROSCALO" OR SWIMMING POOL

With the hot weather comes the time to count the days until the vacations; to arrive ready for this moment you can sunbathe at the Idroscalo or drop by the Bagni Misteriosi, a swimming pool in the heart of the city. Events, aperitifs and dinners can also be held here. For more information visit the site.

DAYTRIP

Summer also offers the perfect excuse to discover new places. If you do not know where to go we recommend Como and Mantua in the first place, along with cities closer to Milan, such as Monza and Bergamo.

GOING TO A CONCERT

Summer is also the season for outdoor concerts, and if you are in Milan you also have plenty of choice. From international artists like the Rolling Stones or Alice Cooper, to Italian artists like Ghali and Jovanotti. Tip: If you are in Milan on June 28, you cannot miss the free concert organized by J-Ax and Fedez in Piazza del Duomo

OPEN-AIR APERITIF
In warm weather it is always nice to have an aperitif outdoors. Of the many places to choose from, our favourites are:
CLÈR
Via Bressanone, 8

Open since 2020, here you can enjoy a good drink on the roof of an old car dealership,
surrounded by a relaxed, urban atmosphere and good music.
TRANVAI
Via Tirano c/o Naviglio della Martesana

If you want to have an aperitif in a special location, this is the place for you. In the interior
of an old tram, you can have an aperitif every day from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations are
required.
CASCINA NASCOSTA
Viale Emilio Alemagna, 14

Located inside Parco Sempione, you won';t even feel like you are in Milan. You can enjoy a delicious aperitif in a convivial and very pleasant summer atmosphere. For more
information visit the site.

OPEN-AIR DINNER
If, on the other hand, you want places for dinner, we recommend:
ACQUACHETA
Via Erodoto, 2

In a very picturesque location, you can try seasonal cuisine with strong Tuscan influences. A perfect place for meat lovers, for more information on the menu visit the site.
FUORIMANO
Via Tortona, 56

Here you can enjoy delicious burgers and pizzas in a courtyard that will make you feel like
you are in Marrakech. Also highly recommended for brunch and perfect for smartworking.
This concludes our list of what to do in Milan in summer, when the only place we want to be is at the beach. Despite this, as you have read there are plenty of activities you can try, and most importantly you can enjoy an almost deserted city. As always, let us know if you try anywhere and come back to visit.
